I agree with TreKing on both points.  I've reviewed but not used (due
to lack of time) several 3rd party game engines for Android.  If
you've developed a worthwhile engine, please consider putting it on
the market (open source or not, free or not).

As for getting away from Java, I'm just waiting for the day when SL4A
can run PerlSDL.  :-)
