Good point Tobias, and I have created many a web app in my day, but a
traditional web app only gives you a small part of the look and feel
and is many times clumsy. Things like SenchaTouch get me A LOT closer
to a solid look and feel, but dealing with native UI components get's
me just a little bit closer (i.e. I can more control orientation and
the like. In the end it really gets down to what the customer is
wanting. For example, I have a customer that just purchased droids
for their sales staff to do inventory lookups while in the field.
Because they are *all* using droids I can make the experience a little
richer by using Android UI widgets, but I am not painting myself in a
corner because I have the generic and loosely couple JSON syntax in
the middle that can easily move to use SenchTouch or ExtJS.
