What's to say the Galaxy isn't available over there? I'm a software
developer so I know what you mean about apps but I'm more concerned about
hardware parameters and network compatibility. What can I look for to know
that it will work with US Carriers and what processors are considered good?

Thanks

Basically anything you just "pick up" in Shanghai or Beijing will be very
useless :o)

What makes the big difference is the custom software the hardware company
creates or does not create. Just installing Android is not enough. Look at
the Galaxy tab with the specially made camera, calendar and email apps.
These speacial tablet apps make or break the experience. Everything else
will be a big phone, where most of the times you can't even use it as a
phone.

We'll have to see if that(bigscreen apps) will change with the release of
the mythical Honeycomb, which is supposed to be more optimized for Tablets.

Also what you often see is a crappy screen.

Going to Beijing and Shanghai soon and will be looking for deals on Android
tablets to buy and bring back to the US and sell. Can someone tell me what
I can look for to tell me if

A.) They will be compatible with US mobile network carriers (i.e. Verizon,
sprint etc.)

B.) What processes are preferred.

C.) Anything else that would make them useless in the US.
