It's not that simple. As an example, you're not getting anything going
on the Nook b/c they lock down side loading of "stock" Android apps
(at least that's been my experience). At this time, there's not much
that can be done except posting a disclaimer.
I've had free apps available on my site for almost 2 years and no one
has yet to write me that one of them would not install because it
required the Google API. I thought I would pull the Maps support out
and offer it for people with these devices. I have the Velocity Cruz
tablet and it doesn't even return an Android ID so I have to cook up
some other DRM for these if I want to sell outside the market as I am
now using SWReg.
