Generally speaking, I would advise against rooting unless you're
capable of finding this sort of information yourself.  Once you've
rooted you've opened Pandora's box, so to speak.  There's a good
chance you'll need much more support from then on; support you won't
get since you'll have voided your warranty.  That means you'll have to
know how to figure out how to solve the problem yourself.  See where
I'm going with this?  If you want to know where the best resources
are, xda-developers has a lot of useful information, but no I'm not
going to provide a link.
