Not to mention the Return type and other attacks utilising loaded code
in order to not be caught out by the recent security mechanisms finally
added to Android that in fact many Desktops don't have :-). Another
argument for bundled software regulation.

Maybe all installers should allow you to make it more like nexus or
cyanogenmod. I guess they would if it didn't push manufacturers to
other Linux OS but it looks like the big players are testing the water
that way anyway.

And when you kill the services manually, often they'll just come back.

I should look closer at Android init but it seems that the default email
client shows a premise that doesn't sit well with me. I'd expect that
if set to auto check and you have closed the app and checked that it is
not running then it can't auto check unless you open the client. I do
not expect init or supervise type functionality on user facing apps, an
option maybe. Heck there's probably an app like monit for that.

Otherwise not only do you have the problem of roaming charges but
also, you have no clue what an app is doing in it's spare time and
difficulty in closing apps to maximise security for an important
task. For example it's a good idea to close all apps and restart
firefox or even the OS (could also be the worst thing of course) before
logging onto your bank.
