Paypal buttons via IPN will do the trick, what is nice is that you do not even have to work with Credit cards they do a redirect and handle all of this for you. You just set up the web site and do simple transaction processing . With a successful purchase you are notified and can then send data or email software or what ever. While this sounds simple it will take you some time to get a working version as the first time is always a learning experience.
