If your app has network rights and depending on testing startup time taken (for slow devices too). You could add an integrity check routine to question that, maybe that just runs on the first startup. It may have something to do with the Java Machine though? Do apps supply settings or permissions setting settings? Often wide open defaults are used but Google seems usually more responsible in that regard.
