Is source not provided for the camera app?  Or why do you think it is
specific to device-builds?  I haven't had anything to do with ICS so
far, in terms of use or looking at what's changed.

There is a reasonable looking solution near the end if you have full
access to your device and want to modify the program.  It looked like
google's posistion was that it is not a security concern since the
thumbs cannot be accessed if your device is locked.

Also, Google employees only make rare appearences on this list,
suggesting this may not be the place if google is who you are trying
to inform.
