I was looking at a norton app today and figured you must be able to click on developer information on Google Play and see a verified email address from say norton.com or something.
I couldn't find it if you can. Whilst I'm all for the little guy, I'm surprised you can't check brand as well as just a dev name. Aside from a small cost and a need for a dodgy credit card, what's to stop someone grabbing the norton logo and putting up some fake apps under a dev name like nortonmobileapps and tricking many users to getting their phone owned before Norton report it and have it removed? Come on Google your doing some great things but you can surely do better on consideration. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
