I switch off ntp and service provided time, I'm perfectly happy with a
simple manually set 100% reliable time that never gets fed the
wrong time by a TELCO or chooses the wrong time unexplicably
occasionally and causes absolutely zero security issues.


If your app is so sensitive to accurate time you should build it into
your app anyway. You could grab GPS time too but that can usually be
spoofed causing the incorrect time.
