I think you could just go to a store and buy an unlocked phone and put
the MetroPCS sim card in. I'd ask MetroPCS about this. I'm planning to
drop Verizon and get the T-Mobile $30 plan because I don't use the phone
any more than 40 minutes a month and you get 100 minutes with the $30 no
contract plan and 5 GB of data. I dropped by a T-Mobile store the other
day but the one clerk was BS'ing with a customer she had just finished
with (she should have said "I'll be with you in a moment" to clue the
customer that she had to get back to work). However that plan is only
available from them online or from Walmart. So I'm also looking for a
new phone but not going to spend ~$800 on an unlocked Galaxy IIIS. Nice
phone though.
