I would suggest you download and install the latest ADT Bundle.  It greatly 
simplifies the install process.

Unless you have a very specific reason to use an old version of Eclipse, I 
would suggest you update to the latest version (which the ADT bundle 
supports).

Good luck - use the most current tools, and you shouldn't have any more 
issues.
