In an effort to solve the problem where my phone calendar/contacts is
not syncing to the online google calendar--getting the pretty common
error on the device "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will
be back shortly", but it's been saying this on my calendar and
contacts since December 15! All the other syncables on this account
are fine, tho. I wanted to try killing the records in the online
completely after first backing them up by exporting them, but I'm
getting a real helpful (not) error message "Exportical.zip couldn't
be downloaded" (and contacts won't export either but with NO error
message). Doesn't take an Einstein to guess that there's probably a
relationship between these two errors, but no idea where to go now.
Anyone else have a solution for this problem? Lots of others have
reported having it (and I did on another list, too) but there doesn't
seem to be a general solution, far as I can tell. I do use Business
Calendar Pro, which of course shows this problem, as does GO
Contacts, but the underlying issue is the lack of syncing to the online.
