*Duration : Long Term* *USC/GC* The main focus of this role entails understanding of complex life science data managed across many different functions in Development Sciences, and profiling of this data. The individual will be expected to work with clients across different functional groups in DevSci (BioAnalytical, ClinPharm, Biomarkers, Toxicology, Pathology) to understand data managed in their group. *Job Description: * Develop and apply best practices and methodology to profile different types of data generated, received and managed by Development Sciences. Create inventory and profile key data assets through the full data life cycle (e.g., where each data type is generated, what format it is in, how it is transferred/received, where it is initially stored, how it is transformed, who analyzes it, where the final version is stored, how long do we keep it, etc.) Provide overall data profiling thought leadership to the Development Sciences organization Responsible for creating detailed data definitions and profiling documentation. Analyze data for uniqueness, completeness, and inconsistencies and resolve all issues throughout the data profiling lifecycle. Identify and document opportunities for improvement and standardization. *Skills: * A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in life sciences, computer sciences, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in profiling life sciences data assets. Experience with different data profiling methodologies, for example experience in SIPOC analysis. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
