I came across your resume and think that you might be a good fit for the position listed below. *Job Title: Microsoft BI Developer (Locals only)* *Location: Portland, OR* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Description* *Position Summary:* v Provide timely, accurate and actionable data to ensure successful business decision-making. v Gather requirements from business users, determine the best reporting solution, design, build and deploy reports and dashboards using a variety of front end visualization tools (Halo BI, SSRS, Atlas, Excel). v Play multiple roles including business analyst, architect, report developer, SQL programmer, visualization designer and end user trainer. *Essential Functions:* v Translate business requirements into well-developed reporting solutions to meet business needs. v Develop standards, best practices and repeatable processes to ensure data standardization and consistency. v Build and maintain project files for the extraction, transformation and loading of organization data from multiple data sources. v Design and implement SSAS cubes. v Develop reports from Microsoft Dynamics AX using SSRS. v Ensure data accuracy by performing cube validation. v Create data visualizations that clearly convey key insights that are actionable. v Handle and prioritize Ad-Hoc reporting requests as they arise. v Support Salesforce Marketing Cloud with query requests and daily build maintenance. v Build and maintain documentation related to the company’s database environment. *Education and/or Experience:* v Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study. v Minimum of 3 years of experience as a business intelligence database developer or related field. v Experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS & SSAS) required. v Expert with SQL and with ability to write complex SQL queries. v Strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures. v Extensive knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning techniques. v Ability to understand business processes. v Advanced knowledge of a manufacturing environment is preferred, including supply chain systems, sourcing, logistics and finance. v Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred. v Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork. v Possess strong written and oral communication skills. v Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative. v Effectively prioritize and follow through on assignments and projects.
