*Role : Network System Engineer (ISE-* *Identity Services Engine) * *Location : **Elk Grove ,IL * *Duration : 8+ Months Interview : Phone / Skype * *Caterpillar * *GC&USC only with 10/10 comm skills* *Remote (Central Time zone)* *Job Description * · Our client is looking for a highly experienced ISE resource, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience configuring, operating and troubleshooting a large multi-cluster, globally distributed deployment of Cisco ISE. *The ideal candidate will have Subject Matter Expertise and 3-5 years hands-on experience configuring, modifying and troubleshooting the following within ISE:* • Wired and wireless 802.1X and MAB authentication policies • Sponsored Guest access and Central Web Authentication policies • Device profiling policies · Based on profiling for corp, personal and guest endpoints • Identity Control Policy (C3PL) • ISE device profiles and Authorization configuration: · Device Identity Groups · Device Permissions · Mapping attributes to conditions and then correlating to profiles · RADIUS attributes and CoA • ISE Certificate Authentication Profile (CAP) • Administrator and Admin access policies • Upgrading ISE nodes from 1.3/1.4 to 2.X • Migrating TACACS+ from Cisco Secure ACS to ISE • Reviewing ISE system logs to troubleshoot and make recommendations on how to resolve device authentication failures *In addition, the candidate should possess the following:* • 5+ years hands on experience configuring, operating and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers • 5+ years Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) configuration and troubleshooting · The candidate will need to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s ISE design requirements and the existing ISE deployment. Specific tasks that the candidate will be expected to perform on a daily basis includes (but not limited to): • Researching Cisco PSIRT Software Security Alerts and provide the following: · Assessment of whether the alert applies to client’s ISE implementation · If it is impacted, then provide recommended action to eliminate or mitigate the risk • ISE Node Deployment Health Checks and Optimization Recommendations · o ISE Alarm monitoring and remediation, ex. COA Failures • Reducing noise to Monitor & Admin Nodes • Recommend tuning changes to policy and device configurations. · Policy set configurations and reviews · Best practices on defining devices per site thru policy & profiling for example. • Provide support to client’s ISE deployment team as they implement Enforcement mode across their locations. Support to include: · Troubleshooting device authentication failures · Reactive support for TAC case resolutions (technical evaluation of initial TAC problem diagnoses based on knowledge of client’s network) · Technical evaluation of proposed unscheduled changes to the network • Assist with either High-Level or Low-Level Design Document Changes as needed. · Ex.
