It acts as the State’s one-stop shop for cybersecurity alerting, threat intelligence, best practices, and incident reporting. The NJCCIC has been recognized nationally as a model for State-level cybersecurity organizations. It is organized under the NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) and is comprised of NJOHSP, NJ Office of Information Technology, and NJ State Police personnel working together in a fusion center capacity to increase the digital resilience of the State of New Jersey. This position will work closely with the Secops Team to develop tools that support the mission of the NJCCIC. Under the general supervision of the Director of Cybersecurity the Cybersecurity Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of software tools that integrate or extend the functionality of the various security technologies and platforms used within the NJCCIC including the Threat Intelligence, Log Aggregation, Analytics, Compliance, and Incident Response and Reporting platforms. The successful candidate will have a passion for cybersecurity and technology, demonstrable technical and cybersecurity expertise, a proven track-record of innovation and accomplishments, and a strong desire to support the mission of the NJCCIC and the NJOHSP. Key Accountabilities: Appropriately and practically defend the State of New Jersey from cyber threats in accordance with the mission objective and goals of the NJCCIC. · Provide full engineering life-cycle support for NJCCIC software security tools. · Design, implement, test, maintain, and support NJCCIC software security tools. · Responsible for requirements gathering and analysis, business process modeling, workflow development, tool customization, upgrades, maintenance, and documentation. · Develop applications, tools, scripts, and implement third-party RESTful APIs to integrate various applications and platforms. · Develop custom web services integrations · Drive the continuous improvements of tools and applications · Develop tools and services that consume and distribute threat intelligence to NJCCIC members · Develop web-based security dashboards, metrics, and reports from disparate security platforms and technologies · Support the development and implementation of the NJCCIC incident reporting and response platform and functions · Develop automation scripts or utility applications to process repetitive tasks and increase productivity · Fully document all tool and application projects · Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols · Works under the general supervision of the Director of Cybersecurity · Project management, team lead for cross-functional projects, subject matter expertise, mentorship of junior team members *Skills Required* · Excellent coding skills in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Javascript, PHP. · Demonstrable experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.) · Experience with Java and Scala · Experience in full-stack development (AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery) · Strong SQL knowledge (JDBC) in query processing, optimization and execution, query performance, database tooling · Hands-on experience in other distributed system components, such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and third-party RESTful APIs, etc., is preferred · Experience/Understanding in Big Data Components/Frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark, HBase, HDFS, Hive, MongoDB and other NoSQL databases etc., is preferred · Understanding of and drive to provide end users with a simple and clean UA/UX for tools · Experience in agile and test driven development environments · Proficient on version control tools such as Git, Subversion, etc. · Experience with public and private cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and hyper-converged architectures · Familiarity with STIX/TAXII, OpenIOC, CybOXetc., is a plus · Deep experience with Windows and *nix operating systems · Knowledge of information systems security standards and practices · Broad understanding of different security technologies for network defense, web and email defense, endpoint defense, vulnerability management, and SIEM platforms · Knowledge of identity and access management controls preferably Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, VPN, and multi-factor authentication technologies · Knowledge of security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001/2, etc. · Proficiency in Microsoft software: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Must demonstrate effective, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technologies, security tools and practices · Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines · Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation, and team work competencies · Adaptability, flexibility and ability to work as part of a team or in an individual capacity · Ability to handle and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive material and information *Experience Required * · A minimum of three (3) years of application development or software engineering experience · This is a position of public trust that deals with sensitive information requiring the successful completion of a background check *Education Required * · Bachelor Degree in computer science, engineering, information security or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. · Relevant security certifications preferred (i.e. CISSP, CSSLP, ISSEP, etc.) *Thank You* *Tim Rudy* Technical Recruiter Office: 908-751-0650 x 1045 Direct: 908-751-0920 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
