Travel Requirements: 25 % Travel including domestic and international locations. * Cisco *CCIE *level Senior Network Design Engineer with *heavy Cisco Nexus* experience. *Must have near 20 years of experience and prefer full CCIE.* Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Cisco CCIE or equivalent enterprise experience. * Job Description * · This position is for a Senior Network Design Engineer which will be responsible for the contributing to the design of network and security infrastructure which supports initiatives at all North American brands and also provides guidance and best practices to all the non-North American brands. · The Senior Network Design Engineer has direct responsibility for the design, implementation and continuous operation of our enterprise network infrastructure, voice transport infrastructure, satellite services, storage area network infrastructure and large portions of our security infrastructure. · The candidate will typically be challenged with contributing and balancing large IT initiatives with internal business initiatives and IT life-cycle management projects. Independently prioritizing amongst these projects and ensuring that all requests are addressed in a complete and timely manner is expected. · The candidate is also expected to make decisions that can deliver on short term goals but balance long term objectives while remaining within budget constraints. *Job Responsibilities* The Senior Network Design Engineer is responsible for… · A member of the team that designs the enterprise network infrastructure, network infrastructure, security infrastructure integration, voice transport infrastructure, satellite services and storage area network infrastructure for all contact centers, administrative offices, shipboard locations, hotel operations and port facilities supporting the client's North American brands. · Analyzing the business requirements of new projects requested by the North American brand business units and designing network solutions that will support their implementation · Providing Capital Expenditure Request level hardware, software, license and labor estimate detail for internal IT and North American brand business unit projects · Understanding advances and changes in the technology industry and work directly with equipment manufactures to assess new technologies how these changes can be applied to provide solutions to our business environment, reduce operating costs or increase guest and crew experience. · Create high level and detailed design documentation for all new projects and network engineering efforts · Contribute in a hands on manner with the implementation of network services in the support of all new projects · Maintain the availability and integrity of Global network infrastructure, security infrastructure, storage transport infrastructure and voice transport infrastructure. · Maintain the security of our global network infrastructure and compliance with all applicable security standards (PCI, PII, HIPPA etc.). · Act as the highest level of engineering escalation for issues encountered within the network environment and security environments. *REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS*: · Reports to the Director of Network Engineering *Job Requirement* Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or other advanced science or engineering field is required; · Experience: The position requires *a minimum of 20 years’ experience with large enterprise* networking, diverse security infrastructure and in-depth knowledge of current network hardware and protocols. · Experience with the following platforms is required Cisco Catalyst 3750, 3560, 2960, 2950, 4500, 4900, 6500 class switches; Nexus 2000, 5000, 6000, 7000; 1200, 2600, 2700, 3700 series Wireless Access Points, 5500, 5700 class Wireless LAN Controllers; · Cisco Identiy Service Engine; Extensive experience and understanding of the following protocols is required TCP/IP, SSL, LACP, LLDP/CDP, TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, I-BGP, MPLS, HSRP, GLBP, SNMP, STP, Rapid Spanning Tree, VPC, VSS, VDC, OTV, L2tun, RTP, SIP, H.323, LWAPP, RADIUS, TACACS+, Ethernet, Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, iSCSI, NFS, 802.1X, 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, XML, DNS, DHCP. · Especially detail knowledge with fine tuning BGP, OSPF and EIGRP is required. Extensive experience with VMWare, Application Delivery Controllers, WAN Optimization appliances, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems and Web Application Firewalls is required.
