Preferences will be given to US Citizens and GC holders. * *Client is **Oil and Gas industry company. Will definitely discuss the Client’s name prior to submission.* Developer will be working with a team of developers on new application development as well as enhancing and supporting existing in-house developed applications. Developer is also responsible to analyze requirements, architect, design and present solutions to business problems. Developer must possess a high degree of technical knowledge regarding software development and associated technology tools primarily using DB2/SQL, Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server T-SQL. Developer must have 5-10 years of experience in Information Systems. Minimum of 5 years of experience with IBM i or Oracle or SQL Server. Should be open-minded, flexible and be able to adapt to a dynamic environment. Should be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision. *Essential Functions: * - Provide application development, enhancements, modifications, performance tuning and support services for assigned projects. - Analyze requirements, architect, design and present solutions. Collaborate with IS technical resources, Business Analysts and End Users to provide solutions. - Provide high availability monitoring and maintenance for assigned applications. - Understand a given software project "end-to-end" including Business Requirements and Functionality, Database, Application Architecture, and UI. - Prepare specifications for new applications, enhancements, modifications, and support issues. Also, prepare application documentation as required. - Develop and support data models that support the business requirements for tactical and strategic information products. - Apply all SOX corporate controls within the IT environment. Perform routine review of software development and security administration so that they meet Client’s SOX standards. *Requirements:* - 5-10 years experience in DB2, Oracle or SQL Server backend database development utilizing packages, procedures, function, triggers and user defined types. - Strong DB2/SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and/or SQL Server T-SQL skills. - Strong Data Warehousing experience, partitioning and collection objects. - Strong knowledge of common database tools (PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, SQLPlus, SQL Server Management Studio etc.). - Strong ability to write complex stored procedures, functions using PL/SQL to optimize processes performance with the goal to reduce processing time. - Strong ability to tune complex queries utilizing Indexes, Hints, and Explain Plan to improve the performance of the application. - Proficient in working with: Collection objects, Nested Tables, Record types, Cursors, Ref Cursors, Views, Materialized Views, Partitions, FORALL, Bulk Collect, Regular Expressions, Autonomous Transactions. - Strong ability to use Python scripts for data transfer and manipulation. - Strong working knowledge with XML and JSON data format. - Strong data analysis skills to debug, trace and fix problems. - Experience interfacing with other databases and operating systems such as Linux, Windows, MEMSQL, MySQL is preferred. - Experience supporting web applications and servers in the areas of Apache, IIS or Cloud is preferred. - Have excellent written and oral communication skills. - Bachelor’s degree required.
