Client: New York State Project Name: Hospital Quality Improvement in Newborn Screening Work Location: Empire State Plaza, Albany NY Scheduled Work Hours: 40 hours per week Duration of Contract: 06 Months Rate: $65 on C2C or 1099 Visa: H1B & Above Due Date: 2/8/2021 Short description: The consultant will perform computer application development in support of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) grant for Hospital Quality Improvement in Newborn Screening. This will include developing a hospital communication portal application on the Health Commerce System. This application will provide a communication management data store supporting the monitoring and controlling of hospital compliance with newborn screening regulations. The application also allows hospitals to communicate in a more organized fashion with NYSDOH regarding their newborn screening follow-up activities, and to monitor their own compliance. Requested Qualification: 84 months developing responsive web-based applications 84 months developing PHP-based applications and interfacing with REST Services 36 months experience with Drupal, including migrating sites to new major versions and updating custom modules, as well as writing modules with OOP in Drupal 8 and familiarity with Drupal Ajax 36 months experience with SQL, MySQL, 508 accessibility best practices, Git , Drush, Symphony,Composer, and Agile/Waterfall practice. 36 months experience in front-end technologies like JavaScript, SCSS/LESS, Twig, Grunt/Gulp 36 months implementing new JavaScript frameworks Day to day tasks: Oversee and manage the technical architecture for new Newborn Screening applications including providing technical expertise, guidance and visioning the design of complex critical public health applications Lead all topics of technical design development and construction including definition of the architecture, infrastructure, system layout, technology stack and frameworks for grant-related applications Perform technical implementation, ensuring technical coherence of application development life cycle, mitigating risk with chosen technical approaches and ensuring performance, scalability and extensibility of design.
