Client: Information Technology Services (ITS) Work Location: 50 Wolf Road, Albany, NY, 12232 Scheduled Work Hours: 40 hours per week Duration of Contract: 30 Months Rate: $50 on C2C or 1099 Visa: H1B & Above Due Date: 2/12/2021 Short description: Senior mainframe programmer supporting the NYS Department of Transportation z/OS mainframe environment. Requested Qualification: 60 months experience collaborating on mainframe projects and preparing written reports and supervising a development team. 60 months experience developing scripts and testing in the IBM 3090 MF environment. 60 months experience supporting DB2 and VSAM. 60 months experience programming applications in COBOL and CICS. 48 months experience coding queries with Easytrieve and testing tools, such as Interest. 48 months experience using TWS (scheduling tool) to facilitate movement of data and files between DB2 legacy systems to other platforms/applications. 48 months experience with Financial Systems that process thousands of records per month. 48 months experience with time and attendance systems that support over 5000 employees. 48 months experience supporting Government accounting systems. Day to day tasks: Handle business and technical design and determine optimum solutions to meet business objectives. Perform system testing and development of testing plans, presentation of training, and planning /execution of large enterprise data systems and applications. Implement NYS SFS business processes and transactions files and remediate MF systems per business requirements. Technical troubleshooting on complex issues that span enterprise systems and multiple data sources requiring rapid resolution. Developing mainframe applications on and IBM MF 3090, using Cobol, CICS, DB2 , MVS Utilities, JCL, Telon, Endevor and RMDS.
