Participates in maintaining the Insurance customer’s Life business architecture framework (including interaction with Insurance customer’s Group), and ensuring alignment with the Insurance customer’s Operating Model. Participates in the creation (and maturation) of the comprehensive Enterprise Architecture practice. Partners with other stakeholders in Insurance customer’s Life for demand management and funding priorities for IT solutions. Leads and contributes to impact analysis for the planned IT change agenda, defines the impacted elements of the IT Solution Portfolio, and analyzes change and inherent risks. This is primarily an individual contributor role but can have direct reports. A successful candidate will have background in: - Articulate and communicate enterprise strategies; ensure initiative alignment. - Maintain the Insurance customer’s Life Business Capability Map, consistency of referential linkage to the IT Solution Portfolio, process inventory (OPEX, six sigma), and information domains. - Lead the annual review of business capability maturity assessments. Track the trends in gaps closure. - Lead and supervise management of IT portfolio complexity. - As contributor to pre-project funding assessment, support rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimation efforts and impacts of solution delivery. - Lead and supervise pre-project analysis; lead the solution definition until the project is launched and submitted to the SDLC process. - During the SDLC process, collaborate with Enterprise Solution Architect in definition of EA recommendations, provide business subject matter expertise, analyze impact of change requests, and track the business architecture alignment. - Lead the definition of solution/technology roadmaps, the management of the IT solutions portfolio, and evaluation of targeted solutions, assure consistency of the delivery with architectural standards and best practices. Expected to acquire highest level of knowledge of Business Unit(s) and Insurance customer’s Life architecture standards and business functionality. - Provide primary technical leadership in the strategic planning for the enterprise architecture and collaborate with business and IT areas on the prioritization, approval, and implementation of new architectures. Partner with internal and external development partners to develop quality guidelines and service level agreements. - Perform quality reviews and measure the adherence to established guidelines and procedures, in order to ensure consistent and coherent implementation and leveraging across business areas. - Tracks the troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify relevance to architecture and opportunities for improvement.
