*Role: **Workstation System Engineer* *Location: New York City, NY - Onsite* *Type Hire : Contract* *Job Description:* Our client, a major financial company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Workstation System Engineer. The successful candidate will join the User Infrastructure team as a consulting Systems Engineer to assist with security vulnerabilities remediation, workstation infrastructure maintenance and support including obsolescence remediation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial industry with a solid knowledge of core infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft SCCM/MECM, scripting (Powershell), Microsoft Operating systems, Virtualization (VMware and Citrix), and will possess excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills. *Responsibilities:* *Virtualization Infrastructure* · *Operational support for VMware environment as applicable to workstation support and security remediation* · Operational support for Citrix environment as applicable to install patches/deploy applications. *Workstation Infrastructure* · Support for Windows workstation security remediation and patch management via SCCM · Support for application patching / security package deployment · Patch management research and remediation for workstations, virtual desktops, and printers via group policy (GPO) where applicable · Automation of mundane tasks via Powershell as applicable to workstation support · Respond to and support the Customer Service team when tickets/issues are escalated to the engineering team. *Soft Skills* · Coordinate, schedule, track and remediate security issues with multiple teams. · Security solution research based on active vulnerabilities and provisioning of the fix in a secure, safe, and sustainable manner. *Requirements:* · 7-10+ years’ experience in overall IT · Proficient in using Microsoft SCCM/MECM · Working experience in the financial industry is a plus. · Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills are essential. · Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field · Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions in emergency situations. · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
