Points to add as of G1:-
Positive:
  - RTP packets parsing is already available along with opencore
library.

Negative:
 - The multimedia library is so restricted that you cannot record
audio to memory; ie: you cannot stream as a result.
   The java framework allows only to record to a file. You cannot use
named pipes or so kind of usual linux hacks, because there is no
official support for Native code execution.


but you can still modify the framework code in Android framework
source to allow streaming
