That would certainly cover my scenario.

Either sounds sweet, though the user may prefer the latter, so we don't 
clobber their existing window.

Another variation on the theme might be an extra for 
close-this-window-on-back-button, which would open a window like it does 
now, but will automatically close the window and leave the activity on a 
back-button. I'm not sure if this covers Al's scenario, though.
