Hi Ravi,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.
I have few more specific questions,
*1. *Let me explain my requirements. I want to use my own mp3 decoder
algorithm which has the conditions that input and output buffers should
always be available in a predefined memory area. For which I need to write
an OMX component and need to integrate the same in OpenCORE framework. Which
means I need to inform the mp3 OpenCORE node that my OMX component is going
to allocate the buffers.
Now as explained by you the mp3 node will do a GetParam for
"PV_OMX_COMPONENT_CAPABILITY_TYPE_INDEX".
In my OMX component if i set PV capabilities
(iOMXComponentSupportsExternalInputBufferAlloc and
iOMXComponentSupportsExternalOutputBufferAlloc) to false then is this the
correct way of informing the node that my OMX component is going to allocate
both input and output buffers?

*2*. If my OMX component is allocating the buffers then how do i inform the
previous node ( in our case it is Source node i.e. mp3 parser node) that use
the input buffers allocated by my OMX component and do not allocate your own
buffers?

I hope I am clear with my questions.

Thanks again.
~
