For video recorder, the camera record mode is controlled through MediaRecorder interface. This is necessary because it needs to be coordinated with the encoder and file composer nodes.
However, it will be possible to pass in a "hot" camera, i.e. a camera in preview mode to the MediaRecorder. This allows an application to switch between still and video modes without having to tear down the camera object.
