In current android release, search engine is NOT available yet. I have investigated the possible search engine for android. One is Clucence, the antoher is Sqlite FTS3. Clucence is the well-known and widely used search engine with fully function supported. FTS3 can be under Sqlite via Sqlite VirtualTables extension; however some important functions like relevance computing are not supported yet.
Can someone know the roadmap of search engine in android? Which open source search engine will be used in android? What's the develop plan for search engine in android, including content indexing service?
