Hi,

I've got terrible GSM problems with the uImage-vX and freerunner-vX images and GSM. It's a T-Mobile UK SIM and using OM2008.X it registers fine. On Android it seems that if I do too much with the thing (setting up wifi, andnav, email etc) then it stops registering, permanently. Then I have to wipe the SD card. Sometimes that helps. Sometimes it just decides not to work. When it's in this state it refuses to import contacts, as if it just won't interact with the SIM

I think it's a different problem to yours though, as I get no error messages.

Hi all,

I have been playing about with android for a while now.

Having installed uImage-v10.bin kernel and freerunner-v11.jffs2 rootfs
from http://panicking.kicks-ass.org/
I can not get the phone to register a gsm network. keeps coming up
with error and message saying that the sim does not support this
feature.

although if i install any of the koolu kernels it works fine.

note i have not looked into adb logcat etc.. not sure what i'd be looking for.

has anyone else experienced this.

any idea where or what i'm looking for would be good.

thanks in advance
