That's an interesting way of going about things.
You could probably do this now. I had been investigating layering debian on top of android but found out that the solutions so far are not a first-class debian install. i.e. it's actually just a loop mounted image, a chroot and possibly unionfs to make things look like they're in the same space. Would be nice if you could install android as a set of debian packages.
Now adding a vnc server and a vnc viewer to that, well, it's a neat way to get X on there without extending the android UI, though it feels a little ... inelegant.
Definitely the easiest way to use X apps with android though. On Mon, 23 Feb 2009, C?dric Berger wrote:
Did someone tries something like that on the Freerunner ? http://www.androidfanatic.com/cms/community-forums.html?func=view&catid=9&id=1615 Would be neat to be able to run some non android applications without dualbooting.... _______________________________________________ android-freerunner mailing list [email protected] http://android.koolu.org/listinfo.cgi/android-freerunner-koolu.org
