I have not seen Michael's reply in this thread at all. Maybe I am
missing something.. but his goal was to release under apache 2 as stated
a few weeks ago. My guess is that, he is waiting for a stable RIL before
releasing it instead of releasing too many patches and rollbacks.

I actually couldn't agree more. Before the Android images, and
Michael's rapid progress on them, I had given up hope on my FR. Now I
feel like the phone could become my daily phone (again) before long.
In fact it probably could now, but I was waiting for a stable-ish
cupcake image... So thanks Miachael.
That said, I still want the source, as and when possible, for my own
tinkering purposes. It wouldn't feel right going to the Koolu git when
Michael's work is ahead of them.

I'm going to be the devil's advocate, and just say I really
appreciate having a phone that works now, regardless of the
semantics. I fully support the open-source movement, but also was
extremely frustrated with my freerunner and ready to burn it. Now at
least with Michael's images I feel like I don't have to buy another
cellphone and abandon the freerunner. Great job Michael on showing
that the freerunner can actually work.

I will, to try it. Then get frustrated that I can't download the
source and start to tinker with it.
I'd really like to start playing with Bluetooth, using Michael's
stuff as a base.

Agree. I will never flash my Neo with something that i can't build.
It's
just wasting of my time. I want to give credits to Koolu for how they
are managing this project. Thanks!
