Sorry to confuse you here but I have two problems. The CRC errors were coming from NAND but that is not the main problem.
The main issue is this: the new automated install only works if I copy the images to a vfat partition on the SD card. If I try with ext2 or ext3, then the installation either refuses to start (last email) or it goes into a loop of copying files and rebooting. Has anyone else been able to do an automated install using a extX partition?
