When I got SD card & phone storage, it displays 00 for Total space and

does not seem to be a problem there. Is this what you guys see ?
With koolu beta-7 my SD card isn't visible, but I recall there's some
trick to make it so--try googling for it. With cupcake branch from
Michael the SD card is visible.
I am using Michael's cupcake-snapshot-v6, and I get total size 0.
Also, in the "notification" area, I get the error:
Removed SD card
The SD has been removed insert a new SD card to increase your device.../...
Then I can't read the rest nor drag the screen
I took the SD card out, as expected, the FR couldn't boot, and when I put
the SD card in a reader, I could see the apps on the and-data filesystem,
and one empty directory 'dcim' on the and-media filesystem. So, as I'd
expect it.
Now I wonder, I have the original 512 MB SD card that came with the FR,
which I split in two 250 MB partition the way it is described on the
openmoko wiki. Could this be the issue ?
Also, when I plug it up to the computer via usb, lsusb shows the FreeRunner,
but it doesn't create an extra /dev/sdX.
Should it?
Yes, the way it works on the HTC is that:
-as soon as you plug it, a /dev/sdX is created on the computer
-a little message comes up in the notification area on the phone. When you
click on the message, it offers you to let the host mount the partition, if
you click 'ok', it makes it availaible and automounter on the pc mounts it
as a regular usb mass device.
Being able to exchange files with the device means that you can put media
content on it, as well as apps (the whole point of android for me, i.e.:
being able to use my own apps).
Interesting note: Android won't start without a SIM, so I popped a SIM from
a french provider in it, and it switched the language to french
automatically. I can change it through settings, which made me realised that
it comes with 9 version of english (from Australia to South America), 4
versions of french and a whole bunch of languages !
