Hi Bradford I have no problem sending and or receiving sms.
I noticed that with beta 3 i could not operate gsm and Wifi at the same time. asa matter of fact wifi was only useable when sim card was out. A few week i go i moved temporarely. I bought a temp sim card and it did not work. On the wiki i found a procedure by jOERG to update the GSM radio. I updated (funny the procedure uses Angstrom to update) and the sim card works : and the GSM conflict with WiFi was over. I updated to beta 7 and all major phone functions work. GPRS not yet tested. here is the update procedure: i would advice the sdcard update : note take at least 512MiB card as the Angstrom image plus procedure is 280 MiB large what are your other two problems?
