Hello List,

I have lately taken some interest in Android on the Freerunner and now would
like to build Android myself. I followed the instructions given at
trac.koolu.org, but I keep getting the following error when doing repo sync:

fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
error: Cannot fetch platform/bionic

The exact module at which the sync fails seems nondeterministic, but most
often it is platform/dalvik, followed by platform/bionic

I searched the list archives and other places. I tried setting the IP of
android2.git.kernel.org for android.g.k.o in /etc/hosts, as someone suggested
someplace, but to no avail. I tried from several different networks, at
different times of the day, so I think I can rule out an unstable network
connection. When I do repo --trace sync, it seems I can always successfully
execute the last git command printed, but I do not know that much about git.
I have set up name and email correctly, though.

This has been going on for about two weeks now, I would be very grateful if
someone could help me get started with getting the latest source.

Other than that, thanks for all the work!

PS: Please CC me, I am not currently subscribed...

Regards, Conrad Hoffmann
