Hi, I apologize for cross posting here and in android platforms group as I didnt know which one is the right one for this query.
I am working on developing a kenrel module for netfilter to do some packet filtering/mangling for android phones. I am a newbie to Android and on listening to the "Anatomy & Physiology of an Android" video presentation by Patrick Brady, a question popped up. He was saying that anying going on the kernel layer should be GPL meaning the source should be opened up. 1) Does it mean that if I want something to run on the kernel space, I will have to share my source? 2) More specifically, would netfilter modules source need to be shared and not kept as proprietary? Thanks B --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-kernel -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
