Hi, I would like to build and modify/tweak kernels for android so I'm wondering what do I have to know in order to do that. I have knowledge about linux/unix and C programming and about the Android Stack structure ( this <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlxiQNijniQ&feature=plcp> video helped me a lot for that.) Actually I'm building the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 kernel for Gingerbread, and 5 minutes ago the compilation finished without problems, but I know I can't use this kernel in an ICS or Jelly Bean ROM. What I have to know to see if a kernel works with some Android version or not? I would like to make this kernel (2.6.35 based for Android 2.3.6) work in ICS or Jelly Bean, so I would appreciate any useful knowledge for this. Thanks.
