I'm not sure *0bb4* (generally works) is the right idVendor as it depends 
(e.g., Nexus S is "*18d1*"; but, this isn't a Nexus). In either case, 
however, the device needs to be rooted, which *voids* the warranty 
according to most manufacturers. Find out the proper idVendor by issuing 
the *lsusb* command (as you suggested, bridgette). 

Most of the time the device reboots on account of hardware problems or a 
bad recently installed program. If not, it's because the person tried to 
hack it wrong (generally the case from what I've seen).

Since this device is rebooting upon trying to use the Wifi, try disabling 
it via the terminal (*svc wifi disable*) and enabling it (*svc wifi enable*). 
Again, this requires rooting the device. See what those commands do. If the 
device goes nuts it'll still give us an idea of what's going on. 
Raja, please give us more copious logs if you want better advice.
