Hi Markus,

The root filesystem is using rootfs, which basically means it is
initial-ramfs.
If you have build the android code one of the outputs is ramdisk.img.
This is a gzipped, CPIO archive.
If you are trying to port it to some new hardware,
http://elinux.org/Android_on_OMAP will be a good starting point for
general hacks.
I followed these instruction and was able to boot it on my T1 Zoom MDK
from an SDCard.
