I noticed yesterday that running cupcake branch on AMD Geode and Via
C3-2 are a lot less stable than a Core2 Duo running cupcake even with
generic 586 or cpu-optimized kernels. The kernel is not the problem,
it seems to be elsewhere.
With less stable I mean that the java applications crash ("terminated
unexpectedly"). Easiest comparison is the 'Music' application which
crashes at launch on a geode or a via c3, but works fine booting from
the same usb stick with the same kernel on a intel core2.
My guess is that at least some part (probably dalvik?) is compiled for
using processor extensions these processors don't have. Where can I
change these cpu settings ?
