Ah, another reason is to generate libfoo.so, you must name use "LOCAL_MODULE
:= foo" + "include $(BUILD_SHARED_LIBRARY)"
using "LOCAL_MODULE := libfoo" will probably result in the generate of
"liblibfoo.so" or something, and the build system might not like it.

I'm just speculating though.
