I've dug a bit deeper, and investigated around. You won't be able to build cupcake for Dream. OpenCORE in cupcake relies on libOmxCore when building for dream, and libOmxCore is proprietary, the current version isn't available and previous versions won't be compatible.
Master (without OpenCORE) is a far better choice.
