I don't develop on G1 board which uses TI OMAP. But I think frame buffer for
TI OMAP should be part of PSB package from texs instrument. And for your
questio about frame buffer driver v.s graphics chipset, I think it is also a
one to one relation which means you can only use specific driver for certain
chipset. In pc, we can just use vesa framebuffer for all kind of pc vga card
simply becasue there is a common VESA standard and almost all kind of pc
graphics card comply with VESA standard. In SOC world, there is no VESA
thing.
