Hello Everybody, According to previous post related to OpenGL ES with hardware accelerator, libhgl.so should be implemented to replace libagl.so. However, this is highly NOT recommended at this moment. The reason is the penalty of buffer copy between GPU and Host memory.
I cannot understand clearly the "penalty" described above. Where is the buffer copy from? If the LCD is connected to GPU, the GLES rendering output can be shown in LCD directly. Can this mechanism cut the memory copy loading? What is the complexity of this implementation? Is Linux FrameBuffer the only driver needed to be modified? Thank for any information about my question, and let me know if I misunderstand any concept.
