Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to get Android applications to drive
haptic actuators. I am using haptic actuators from Artificial Muscle
and intend to control them with an analog signal. My current hack has
been to hijack the audio from the device and use the analog audio
signal to drive the haptics, but I would like to be able to divorce
the audio signal from the haptics to allow separate audio and haptics
‘tracks’. What I’m trying to figure out is if there is a way to
either access a separate I/O or an A to D line (or even just one of
the two speakers in the android) with the end goal that we can
directly control the haptics from Android and still be able to play
audio.

Thanks,
Erin
