I haven't ever developed on this modules, I have a Router here so I am
guessing I need an access point to actually test it?

hi,
it seems the wifi driver is working now, use follow commands to check
whether it works:
iwconfig eth0
ifconfig eth0 up
iwlist eth0 scan
