I'm afraid that you just can't write to flash devices like that --- they need special support for erasing flash sectors before reprogramming and dealing with flash metadata. There are about a zillion different ways of doing that depending on what exactly you want to do with it. Check out the mtd-utils package on Ubuntu for about two dozen different programs for managing flash devices. What precisely are you trying to do? - -- ┌─── dg@cowlark.com ───── http://www.cowlark.com ───── │ │ "People who think they know everything really annoy those of us who │ know we don't." --- Bjarne Stroustrup -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFKldB7f9E0noFvlzgRAgn2AJ477K0uD2oBOSzc6tOgfg5oXLxtyQCfUggd +NjxgmnF4npOhvJyCKq+t0w= =m7gu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
