Recently, there was a video of a Treo booting Android surfaced on the Internet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NvD4AHig0g). And possibly due to an old thread (http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting/ browse_thread/thread/d16f5fc83971bec4/), I've received several emails about it.
But sorry, I do not know that gentleman, neither do I know how he managed to do it. I think the Treo 650, even if it can "boot" Android, does not have enough juice to handle the "complete" Android at all. And since it's the only Palm/Treo device I got, I have stopped looking into it. Newer Palm/Treo devices may have better hardware and more RAM, but they may not have as good support from the Linux kernel as the Treo 650 and some other Palm/Treo devices (http://hackndev.com/trac/wiki/ Bootpacks and http://hackndev.com/trac/). Should anyone wants to try it again, the information and sources are out there. Good luck. : ) -- unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting
