Hello all,
I was experimenting custom ROM on HTC Hero. Although the device has
root
access, fastboot enabled it's bootloader file (spl) was not accepting
"cm-recovery .." image for nandroid (cynogenmod latetest) during
fastboot
i.e throwing "remote not allowed" i.e. However I was able to download
cm-
recovery image from flashrec app. After that I tried to use a
modified
(engineering spl) for HTC Hero through sdcard i.e changing it to
update.zip. In recovery mode (Home+power down key) I was able to
install this bootloader into HTC hero.

The real panic started here. Even though bootloader was meant for HTC
Hero it does not seem to boot the device. When I press power key
nothing happens - the device appears dead i.e no display screen at
all. When I hold down MENU key and tap power button I see a green
light flashing though!

I tried all combination of keys but nothing worked for me so far!

I am not able to go to recovery mode so that I can put back the
original bootloader to boot it properly.

Please suggest if there is any way out or it is as good as replacing
the NAND flash in the HW with a preloaded ROM!!

 Thanks in advance

Santon
